Join APSA’s Engaging the 2024 U.S. Election Webinar Series which aims to showcase how political scientists understand and teach the U.S. election from a variety of perspectives.

Respectful political dialogue between engaged citizens is a cornerstone characteristic of a healthy democracy. How can faculty establish a classroom culture encouraging constructive and inclusive political discussion around the 2024 U.S. election and other common political science themes? How can political science educators scaffold productive civic dialogue on contentious political issues?

Curricular Innovations in Political Science at Community Colleges

Join us for the first professional development virtual workshop of the 2024-2025 academic year led by the APSA Committee on the Status of Community Colleges in the Profession on “Curricular Innovations in Political Science at Community Colleges.”

This workshop will allow faculty to share their classroom innovations for the fall 2024 term. Curricular innovations include utilizing new textbooks or workbooks, creating a new active learning experience, and utilizing APSA Educate resources to improve face-to-face or online learning environments. The workshop will have up to 30 minutes of presentations and 30 minutes of questions and answers, and general discussion time. Presentations will be recorded, while the discussion section will not be recorded.
