In the wake of the United States Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overruled long-term precedents securing the right to choose abortion Roe v. condemns the recent attack against and detention of students at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran. Students were participating in a protest related to the recent death of Mahsa Amini and were violently attacked by security forces.

Call for Editors for Perspectives on Politics | Deadline: January 2, 2023
APSA invites applications and nominations for the editorship of Perspectives on Politics. One of the Association’s three flagship journals and now in its 20th year of publication, it receives over 500 article submissions and solicits 350 book reviews per year. APSA is open to proposals for the editorship that include innovative individual and institutional collaborations, including diverse international teams at a single institution or multiple institutions. The APSA Diversity Fellowship Program aims to increase the diversity and the presence of underrepresented individuals in the discipline of political science. The spring cycle will provide financial support to first- and second-year students in political science PhD programs.

We encourage our members to submit nominations to help us recognize more of our members who are achieving professional milestones in the discipline. Nominations for the award (including self-nominations) may be submitted by members and nonmembers of APSA.
